Our Church History

“Don’t become weary in well doing”  (Gal. 6:9)

Being led of God and committed in love and faith to promote spiritual advancement through the principles of God’s word, Christ Temple Family Church was organized by the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit after a split with our former church.  With the help and assistance of Elder Joan Robinson, Head Elder of Ebenezer SDA, we continued to worship at 6250 Evergreen Blvd. in Berkeley, MO.

Our initial organizational meeting was held on January 2, 2005.  On that day Elder Prothro, Sr. and Min. Evelyn Fields were called to co-pastor the church after being appointed by Bishop S. E. Shannon.  The Board of Trustees and members supported this appointment wholeheartedly.  Our first service was held on Sunday, January 9, 2005.  Under the divine guidance of God and the leadership of Elder Willie Prothro, Evang. Evelyn Fields and the official Board, we continued to move forward.  Our journey has not been without obstacles that tested our faith but God has been faithful.  He has blessed our congregation and each of our endeavors.
